GREGORY T. WAUGH, FAIA - Vice President of Architecture Management & Design

Gregory Waugh is an architect and proven technical leader with more than 40 years’ experience. With a specialized skillset in the execution and documentation of complex architectural projects, Greg joined The Durst Organization in 2018 in the role of Vice President of Architecture Management & Design. Greg oversees the architectural design efforts of new developments and upgrades of the existing portfolio, managing the development/design process with expertise in integrated project delivery, building code, sustainability, and resilient elements. He brings ingenuity, creativity and technical excellence to all his projects.

Greg has experience in all phases of design and construction including master planning, design, documentation and construction administration of mixed-use, residential, commercial, medical, and government work.

To assist with rebuilding efforts after Superstorm Sandy, Greg became an NYC DOB Special Inspector and a FEMA Safety Assessment Inspector. A Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, Greg has lectured at such universities as NYU School of Real Estate. He has published many articles on design and construction, co-authored a book on urban construction, and won multiple state and national design competition awards including an international design competition for a crime victims’ memorial in California.

Greg attended Pratt Institute’s School of Architecture and is NCARB certified. He is a member of the United States Green Building Council and a LEED accredited professional specializing in building design and construction.
