VIΛ 57 WEST, the anchor of the 57 WEST residential block, provides a dramatic visual gateway to Manhattan’s skyline along the Hudson River. The first project designed in North America by the Danish Architecture firm BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group, VIΛ 57 WEST offers 709 residences, many with terraces and balconies, and unsurpassed selection of resident amenities and 45,000 square feet of world-class retail.

Centered around the four core elements: Water, Energy, Air, and Earth- VIA 57 WEST redefines green living with an unprecedented vision of sustainability that both respects nature and promotes well-being. The building’s dynamic architecture is reflected throughout the interiors that organically flow from indoor to outdoor living. Materials, products and construction methods were carefully considered and selected for their resilience and environmental impact. Each aspect of the design has been thoughtfully planned to conserve water, reduce energy needs, and promote the wellness of residents while minimizing the impact on the environment.

The centerpiece of VIΛ 57 WEST’s unique design is VIA GARDEN, a 22,000 square foot lushly planted courtyard that opens toward the Hudson River, bringing views and low western sun deep into the block. A vast array of amenities for residents to enjoy include a swimming pool, fitness center, half-basketball court, golf simulator, children’s playroom, library, poker room and media room. Residents may also reserve a variety of ‘living rooms’ for entertaining and take advantage of such features as a fireplace, chef’s kitchen, serving kitchen, dining room and an outdoor terrace with dramatic river views.

Retail tenants on the block include Livanos Restaurant Group's Ousia, AKC Canine Retreat along with Landmark Theatres and Hudson Market, which will both open summer 2017.
