PHILIP SKALASKI - Senior Vice President of Engineering and Energy Services

Philip Skalaski, P.E. is the Senior Vice President of Engineering and Energy Services at The Durst Organization. Phil leads the strategic direction and oversight of the Engineering & Energy Services department, aligning technical innovation with company-wide goals. He oversees large-scale engineering projects, ensuring efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions for building systems across the Durst portfolio. He advises on all technical aspects of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, low voltage and information technology systems, drives innovation in energy efficiency, and ensures compliance with environmental regulations. Phil also led the design of the engineered systems at Durst’s ground-up new developments including EŌS, VIΛ 57 WEST, FRANK 57 WEST, SVEN, and Halletts Point.

Prior to joining Durst in 2008, Phil contributed to the design of several high profile building electrical systems including The Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park, 7 World Trade Center, IBM World Headquarters in Armonk, NY, Revel Casino Hotel Resort and Spa in Atlantic City, NJ, and the R&H Lab Tech Center in Shanghai, China. Phil is Co-President of The New York Energy Consumers Council. He also advises the New York City Commissioner of Buildings on Electrical Code Technical Standards as a member of the Electrical Code Revision and Interpretation Committee. He is a member of The Urban Resiliency Advisory Board of the Partnership Fund for New York City and the Real Estate Board of New York. Phil holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Hofstra University and is a New York State Licensed Professional Engineer.
